Alex Johnson
I decided to serve the community after being in a field for almost 10 years serving individuals with special needs. I love to meet people and help them in any way I can.
The last four years have been a whirlwind, roller coaster, whatever you want to call it situation where so many things were unknown. I have always been the person to plan, think through, be structured, be disciplined to tasks, and stay the course. There were so many events that changed all that. 2020 was a challenging year for many of us. I had lost my job in January of 2020 and then the pandemic hit us all! When I mentioned whirlwinds, we had a tornado 4 years ago in our town. This one came through our side of town and destroyed our neighborhood. My family just moved into our brand-new home and we had been living in it for about a month.
That one night, a 30-second event changed my life forever. Our newly constructed house was destroyed by an EF-3 tornado. I have always been fortunate and blessed to have a roof over my head but that one night changed my thinking forever. Our house, our safe place, protection, where life events occur, rest, and so on was shaken. The thought of where we would go, and where would we stay were just a few questions that came to mind. A turning point in my life...

How It All Started
A new perspective, a new appreciation, and a new journey that awaited me were all in the works. The Father never lets us down and surely He has never let me down. Something new was happening, a new desire and passion were being established. With limited knowledge and resources, RAJ Designs was born to serve the community. Of course, I needed to rebuild my house, however, I was able to immediately help others who were affected by the tornado as well.
There was a night when there was no roof over my family's head, a future uncertain but a new thought about what a house could be for a family. With that thought, I valued "that" roof over my head. I was even more thankful to God Almighty for giving us protection and hope for the future.
My desire now is to help others appreciate their house or "roof over their head" even more. When you want to update, remodel, or improve the place where you live, that's where I can come in and help. This is my passion now, to love and appreciate the place that you live. I will help you with your budget, design, and add value and appreciation to the place you spend most of your time in. It can be your "forever home", to make improvements,or to sell your investment for additional profit.
RAJ Designs is here for you. I want you to love and enjoy your house, admire its beauty, keep it clean and be a place for everything that life will bring you. This is my passion and desire. I would love the opportunity to work with you.
Over the years, helping and supporting our community has been something very special and important to my family and me. This includes supporting financially to many causes and giving our time to local projects and organizations, which are ways that we have served others. Where did this heart come from, you might ask? We have seen our parents, grandparents, and other family members serve others both in our local community and abroad. From previous generations to now, there is a heart to serve our communities.
As RAJ Designs has started in 2024, I have been fortunate to be able to donate flooring locally to a lady in need. She was homeless and joining others in the community to be able to help out for this lady to have a “roof over her head” was a wonderful opportunity. In other instances, the business has had the opportunity to deeply discount floor materials, and tile, to people in the community who had physical limitations and needed roll-in showers. It is a blessing to help others in need and it is something I take pride in. This has been a great opportunity to help people find quality products to make their home more enjoyable, appreciated and save them money in the process.
Aside from monetary and material donations, our business has been able to give our time to our community. We have been able to deliver meals to the elderly or disabled, help with paint projects, landscaping, etc. It's an honor and privilege to help others that have a need. When my family was in the tornado, we felt the outpouring of love and support from people in our community. They came and helped us during our time of need and it did not matter that covid was there. It is always great to receive but greater joy to give. We have been blessed and want to spend our time on this earth to bless others. The opportunities are always there, it's up to us to step up and step in to help. I hope you will too and together we can make a difference for our community and world.
